Introduction

Earlier on in the year, there was a lot of competition to see which format would be the best DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW, NEC released their DVD+R/RW ND-1100A, Pioneer released their DVD-R/RW DVR-A05, Plextor the DVD+R/RW PX-504A and Asus the DVD-R/RW DRW-0402P. But more recently manufacturers are compromising by producing drives that will read and write both DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW media and the NEC ND-1300A does just that.
