Conclusion
Plextor have produced another stunning drive which is high quality and great value for money. It can now be purchased for around £60 and includes software such as Nero 6, Pinncale Studio 9SE, PowerDVD and PlexTools. (Pinnacle Studio 9 does not recognise the serial number on the CD although a working one can be found via a quick visit to plextors site). The PX-712A Writes DVD-R at 8x speed DVD+R at 12x and 4X on DVD-RW/+RW media taking under 15 minutes to fill a ±RW disc and 8 minutes to fill a -R disc.
