The things i look for in a motherboard are:

• It's "Special options" what makes it stands out from the rest?
• What "Processor" does it support, and at what speed?
• It's "Chipset" and who made it?
• The "Bios" does it have live update? Is it "Plug & Play"?
• How many "Memory" slots are there and what is it's maxium? What type of memory?
• How many "Slots" does it have? PCI/AGP/ISA/CNR.
• How many IDE devices can be connected? How many IDE slots?
• Does the board have intergrated audio or graphics?
• Do the "On-Board Peripherals" include: Floppy ports, Serial ports, Parallel ports USB ports, and Audio/Game ports
• What are it's "Dimensions"? How many "Mounting Holes" are there?
• It's overall performance
• Lastly it's "Price" and "Value for Money."
